About Ask the Signs

Ask the Signs is a free tarot website for readers in the United States and Canada. We want it to feel calm, beautiful and simple: no sign-up, no paywalls, no fear-based predictions. Just a deck of 78 cards, a question you care about and a few minutes to think.

How we think about tarot

We treat the cards as a playful tool for reflection, not as fortune-telling. Cards don’t know the future and they don’t decide anyone’s fate. That is why every reading ends with questions to think about, and why we never give a yes or no answer to questions about health. If a question suggests someone is in danger, we show where to find real help instead of a card.

How our content is made

Our card meanings are based on the classic symbolism of the Rider–Waite–Smith deck, the most widely used tarot deck in the English-speaking world. We write them for today’s readers: plain language, practical advice, and no promises about what will happen. We write with the help of AI tools, and every text is reviewed and edited before it is published. If you spot a mistake, please tell us. The card illustrations were created for this site.

Your privacy

The questions you ask the cards stay on your device. We only load analytics if you agree to it, and we never sell personal information. Read more in our Privacy Policy.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ask the Signs free?

Yes. Every reading, spread and card meaning is free, with no account, no paywall and no limit on how many questions you ask.

Who writes the content?

A small team writing in plain English. Card meanings follow the classic Rider–Waite–Smith symbolism, and every text is reviewed and edited before publication.

Does a reading predict the future?

No. Cards are a tool for reflection: they name a theme worth noticing. They are never medical, legal or financial advice, and they cannot speak for another person.

Do you store the questions I type?

No. Questions stay in your browser and are never sent to our server or to analytics. Your card of the day is saved on your own device only.
