Symbolism
Justice sits between two pillars holding upright scales in her left hand and a raised double-edged sword in her right. The scales weigh the facts; the sword cuts through to a clear decision and reminds us that every choice has two edges. Her eyes are open, unlike the blindfolded figure of folk tradition: here, justice sees clearly. The purple veil behind her stands for wisdom and compassion.
Justice upright
Justice asks for clear thinking and honesty, with others and with yourself. Actions have consequences and things tend to find their balance. It is a good time for fair agreements, contracts and decisions based on facts rather than feelings alone.
Justice reversed
Reversed, Justice suggests something is out of balance: an unfair situation, a half-truth or a responsibility you are avoiding. Look at your own part as honestly as at the others'.
Reversed keywords: unfairness, dishonesty, avoiding responsibility.
