December 16 birthday personality

December 16 is day 350 of the year (351 in a leap year). The Sun is then roughly 25° into Sagittarius, 6 days before it moves into Capricorn, which places your birthday in the third of the sign’s three decans.

Sagittarius, third decan

Sagittarius closes with a decan colored by Leo, whose radiant creativity warms Jupiter’s optimism. You are Sagittarius with a performer’s warmth. You tend to light up rooms with storytelling, humor, and generosity. Creativity and self-expression feel essential to you. Your optimism inspires others, and you enjoy sharing your discoveries widely. Pride may surface when you feel unappreciated, yet your big heart and joyful spirit make you a beloved presence wherever you roam.

Born on the 16th: birthday number 16

Sixteen folds the independence of one and the care of six into seven, the seeker’s number. You are often deeply reflective, someone who processes life by thinking and writing it through. Many with this birthday experience sudden shifts that clear away illusions, and they come out wiser each time. You have refined taste and high standards. Your challenge is trusting people enough to share your private world rather than retreating when you feel misunderstood.

1 + 6 = 7: The Seeker. Born on a day that reduces to 7, you feed the life path a thirst for depth, quiet study and inner truth. Still, the year and month matter too. Total all the digits of your birth date, fold the sum down, and notice how your seeker’s questions color the number that emerges. Calculate your life path number.

Your birth tarot cards

Temperance, the card of Sagittarius. It belongs to the archer, who aims at distant goals. The card’s angel blending waters suggests the sign’s search for meaning, its optimism and the art of combining experiences into wisdom.

Ten of Wands, the card of your decan (Saturn in Sagittarius in the Golden Dawn system). Put down at least one load that isn't yours to carry.

The Tower, the card of your day number. Lightning strikes the crown of a tower, the most dramatic image in the deck. It can feel uncomfortable, yet it frees as well: what falls was rarely as sturdy as it looked. Let what is unstable fall, and build again on solid ground.

The card of your whole birth date, year included, comes from the tarot birth card calculator.
