7 Gentle Days After a Breakup

After a breakup everything hurts more than people like to admit. This challenge won’t tell you to “just get over it.” For seven days you get one gentle task a day to help you take care of yourself. If things feel very heavy, talk to someone close to you or to a professional; reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness. In the US and Canada you can call or text 988 at any time.

7 days · one task a day · your progress stays on your phone

The plan, day by day

  1. Day 1. Let yourself be sad today. Write down three feelings you notice, without judging them.
  2. Day 2. Look after your body: drink a glass of water, eat a warm meal and go to bed early.
  3. Day 3. Mute or archive the chats and photos that hurt the most, for now. You don’t have to delete them.
  4. Day 4. Write a letter to this person that you won’t send. Get everything out, then put it away.
  5. Day 5. Meet or call someone you feel safe with.
  6. Day 6. Write down three things you love doing just for yourself, and do one of them today.
  7. Day 7. Write one sentence about what you want for yourself in your next relationship. You’re on the way, not at the end of it 🤍

Other challenges: 21 Days of Gratitude, 7 Days of Calm, 7 Days of Tarot, 21 Days of Confidence. Your daily card, intention and mission are waiting in My Day.
